Transport NSW operations team is looking at increasing its cyber security capability and maturing these proficiencies by procuring and operating an intelligent network threat detection tool.
The aim is to reduce risks to critical assets to ensure a safe, secure, and resilient transportation system. The OT network has over 4000 unattended network connections for intelligent transport devices including roadside traffic signals and CCTV cameras. Automatic detection of malicious activity on the OT network greatly decreases the security risk of these unattended sites.
By increasing the network monitoring to automatically detect malicious activities and identify flaws and vulnerabilities, decision-makers will be better placed to implement appropriate security controls, design more secure architectures, monitor targeted attacks and maintain effective cyber resilience for the OT networks.
This tender closes on November 18 – you can find out more here.
