Central Highlands Regional Council Seeks Expandable CCTV Solution

The newly constructed Nogoa River recreational walking tracks, one south and one north of the Vince Lester Bridge in Emerald, is considered by CHRC to require CCTV surveillance.

The proposed 24/7 surveillance will improve security, deter illegal activities and to prosecute identified offenders. The CCTV system must provide a high image resolution and clear facial and vehicle imagery. The surveillance feeds are required to be live streamed on a viewing platform to the Queensland Police Service (QPS) Emerald Police Station and CHRC’s Emerald office, however, the data shall only be stored on the CHRC network.

The initial 4 CCTV cameras are to be installed along with all associated hardware and software to ensure a fully functioning solution and the system should be expandable up to a minimum total of 24 CCTV cameras.

The supplier shall also provide maintenance and support services for their installed CCTV surveillance system for 3 years after the system is installed. This tender closes on January 8 – more information here.
