ASIAL is undertaking a major research initiative – Horizon 2025 – which seeks to set out a clear roadmap for industry, government and users of security services to develop an innovative, responsive, professional and respected industry.
“As part of this undertaking, a number of virtual stakeholder workshops are being held,” said ASIAL’s general manager, John Fleming. “These are aimed at gathering thoughts from key industry stakeholders as to what the future of the security industry in Australia will look like, how that can be achieved, and why such strategies and initiatives are needed.
ASIAL has engaged the Australian Security Research Centre (ASRC) to undertake the research. The workshops will be facilitated by Dr. Paul Johnston (Senior Researcher, ASRC), and will provide stakeholders with the opportunity to directly contribute to the future of the security industry in Australia.
To encourage engagement, participant numbers will be restricted to a maximum of 25 per workshop, so please RSVP your ability to attend. The workshops will run for 90 minutes, participants are requested to come prepared with their thoughts and contributions (as to what, how and why), so that all can get the most benefit out the opportunity at hand.
