Tonkin Consulting has gone to tender for a scope of works on behalf of the Zig Zag Railway, which includes CCTV, security solutions, fencing and lighting.
Qualified contractors will be required to attend a mandatory site briefing on the 9th March 2021 and will be required to provide details of relevant experience, management systems and referees as part of the tender schedules.
The Zig Zag is a full size, narrow gauge tourist railway located at Clarence, 10km east of Lithgow in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia. Built in the 1860s, the line was constructed to transport people and produce from the western plains of NSW to Sydney. It was replaced in 1910 by a 10 tunnel deviation.
The trains, track and rollingstock are maintained and operated by the Zig Zag Railway Co-op Ltd, a voluntary, “not for profit’ co-operative that is in the process of recovering from major bushfires, with reopening planned for late 2021.
The tender closes March 30 – you can find out more here.
