Albury City Council has received funding to expand its existing CCTV network into the Lavington central business district and support NSW Police operations in the detection of criminal activity in this area.

Albury City Council has worked closely with NSW Police and Matryx Consulting to develop a concept design and specification for the Lavington CCTV Camera Network. Albury City Council invites suitably qualified tenderers to submit a tender for the design and construction of the Lavington CCTV network based on the elements detailed in this RFT.

The Public CCTV system in the Albury CBD has been operating since December 2017 successfully supporting NSW Police operations in the detection of criminal activity and increasing the community’s perceptions of safety.

The Lavington expansion includes the development of a wireless CCTV system in and around the Lavington CB; along Mate Street and Wagga Road, Urana and Union Roads; and the major retail centre in the Griffith Road precinct.

The Lavington CCTV tender closes on June 15 – you can find out more here.
