NAS Signs Master Distribution Agreement With Ajax

NAS Australia has signed a master distribution agreement with alarm manufacturer, Ajax Systems, and is seeking partnerships in WA and SA.

According to NAS Australia’s Tim Prag, the first shipment of Ajax products will arrive in Australia in early 2022 and will be available at NAS Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Cairns and Newcastle trade counters.

“We have confirmed partners with Aosec and Zankap in Sydney and National Security and Surveillance in Melbourne and we are interested in discussing options for possible distribution partnerships for both WA and SA,” Prag said.

The NAS team has been evaluating the products over the past 18 months and at the back end of 2021 conducted a Beta testing program with the AU 915Mhz frequency.

“With over 25 installation, monitoring station and security distribution partners taking part across the country, the feedback was outstanding,” Prag said. “The Ajax products have been making waves all over the globe, so to finally see them in Australia is very exciting.

“Among the Control 4 Smart Home integration drivers, we have also successfully tested alarm events and visual verification images into monitoring stations utilising the Bold Manitou and Patriot alarm handling software – a full list of the monitoring station integrations is available here.

“The Ajax Hubs can transmit alarms events directly into the MS using the SIA DC-09 format from either the Wi-Fi, Ethernet or Dual 4G channels. With the installation of the Ajax Translator software and subject to integration, verification images can also be received. A neat feature from the app panic alarm is it send geographic locations to both the MS software and/or the end user smart phone ap which allows the person in distress to be tracked.”

According to Prag, the Ajax Hubs are fully configurable form the Ajax Pro iOS and Android App or the Desktop Pro software available for both Windows and MAC.

“The Hub 2 Plus allows for up to 200 devices, and without the need for any third-party gateway, also allows for the inclusion of both high and low voltage smart relays, bringing event triggered, manual or scheduled device control into this smart intrusion system,” Prag said.

“The range is exceptional, line of sight from 1300 to 2000m depending on the peripheral and with the inclusion of the REX adds up to another 1800m. Each hub can take up to 5 REX or REX 2 units, so this system can be used in residential, retail and larger commercial premisses.

“Among many other cool features, the hubs can be converted to 12v DC allowing for the installation in caravans and boats so installers can expand their reach beyond fixed premises.”
