Incite Wins Security, CCTV, Fire
♦ Incite Wins Security, CCTV, Fire – Incite Security has been awarded the contract to provide security, CCTV, fire detection, occupant warning, audio visual and communications for the new $A3.2 million Volunteer Fire & Rescue Station under construction at Northampton in Western Australia.
The new facility will be completed utilising hardware made in ANZ and the U.S. and will include Gallagher alarms, access control and management software, an Avigilon CCTV solution, and fire detection and alarm systems made by NSW-based Ampac Australia.
“This will be a huge benefit to the local and surrounding communities after the events of Cyclone Seroja 2021,” said Incite Security’s Robbie Place. “We are looking forward to delivering this project working with GBSC Yurra and Velrindens Electrical Geraldton.
The Northampton Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service (NVFRS) provides essential services to the town of Northampton and surrounding areas which include bushfire fighting, structural firefighting, road crash rescue and HAZMAT control.
The facility will support life-saving operations in the region, with the design incorporating a road crash rescue training area, radio tower for improved communications, and additional space for the brigade to grow its membership in future years.
The overall tender was awarded to GBSC Yurra, a 50 per cent indigenous-owned WA company that specialises in offering indigenous employment opportunities. All sub-contractors involved in the construction are based in Geraldton, providing important economic support for the region as it continues to recover from Tropical Cyclone Seroja.
