Gallagher Celebrates 35 Years – Gallagher Security has recognized and celebrated the remarkable achievements of its chief technology officer, Steve Bell, and general manager for IMEA, Ian Meadows, who have served the company and its customers for 35 years.
Gallagher Security chief executive, Mark Junge, said the pair have been integral members of the Gallagher Security family since its early days as Cardax, operating from Marton, New Zealand, and their contributions have been instrumental in shaping Gallagher’s success and driving the company forward.
“Ian joined Gallagher in 1987, starting as an electronics assembler,” Junge said. “Throughout his journey at Gallagher, Ian has embraced various roles, including hardware tester, technical support engineer, and business development manager. His unwavering loyalty and expertise have made him a trusted figure within the organization, valued for his extensive industry expertise and commitment to finding exceptional customer solutions.
Reflecting on his journey, Ian Meadows said, “I never stop learning. Every day is a new opportunity. That’s what Gallagher is all about.”

Meanwhile, Steve Bell also joined Gallagher in 1987 as a software engineer.
“Throughout his illustrious career, Steve has been a driving force behind the development of Gallagher’s Security product range, spearheading advancements across several generations,” Junge said.
“As chief technology officer, he brings unparalleled technical and commercial expertise to the executive leadership team. Steve’s visionary leadership and ability to navigate the ever-evolving security landscape have contributed significantly to Gallagher’s success.
Bell said he was “driven by technology and the tremendous possibilities it holds and takes immense pride in Gallagher’s successful implementation of new technologies, especially when we lead the way among our global industry peers.”
Junge commended the outstanding contributions of Bell and Meadows.
