AJAX Alarm System Arrives For Review.

AJAX Alarm System – AJAX security system has been delivered to SEN for review by Sydney-based master distributor, SecuSafe.

The system is built around AJAX Hub 2 4G, which communicates with the security system devices using encrypted radio frequencies at a distance of up to 2000 metres. For parallel visual data transmission from MotionCams, Hub 2 uses AJAX Wings radio protocol, a high-speed protocol based on Jeweller encrypted, frequency-hopping wireless technology with a dedicated antenna.

Up to 100 devices can be connected to a hub, as well as 25 cameras, a maximum of 50 users, 50 rooms and 9 MotionCam sensors. CMS connectivity is via Contact ID and SIA.

Power supply is 110−240V DC battery backup is Li-Ion 2Аh delivering up to 16 hours offline operation when the Ethernet is switched off, operating temperature range is −10 to 40С and dimensions are 163 x 163 x 36mm, and weight is 362g, while warranty is 24 months.

Opening the box and picking through the big range of devices proves plenty of fun – this test system includes a taste of pretty much everything in the AJAX Standard range, including intrusion sensors, air quality sensors, PIR cameras, external beams, what looks like a really cool backlit keypad and more.

AJAX Alarm System Arrives For Review

I’m faintly nervous about how hard it’s going to be to wrangle all these large, sweetly designed devices but at the same time, interested to see just how easy it could be to build a functionally complex AJAX system like this one.

According to AJAX, to install AJAX Hub 2, you connect it to the internet, plug the power cord, scan the QR code using the AJAX app. Apparently, most devices won’t require any additional tuning, and Hub 2 begins to operate once online, allowing control from anywhere in the world.

No additional tuning sounds simply fabulous to me – stand by for SEN’s full test of the AJAX Superior security system coming soon!
