ABLOY CUMULUS Expands Keyless Access To Doors – ABLOY is expanding its CUMULUS access management solution with a new cylinder range that extends keyless access to doors allowing users to open doors with a mobile device.
CUMULUS previously provided keyless access for applications including padlocks, key safes and other locking solutions. These new cylinders extend the system to door environments, allowing access points to be managed remotely through a single management system.
The solution combines credential technology, a mobile application and battery-powered locking devices. Battery operation supports a real-time clock and smart functions within the locks, while access events, device status and environmental data are recorded securely in the system, allowing audit trails.
The cylinder solution can be managed through ASSA ABLOY Access or partner software and is designed to support retrofit applications using existing ABLOY locking systems.
Of value in remote locations, the system is designed to operate in locations where network connectivity is limited and the cylinders are robust and highly secure.
