Access & Security Co Expands Into Canberra With A Co-Branded Access Hardware and API Access & Security Branch At Fyshwick.
Access & Security Co Expands Into Canberra – Access & Security Co is opening a new co-branded Access Hardware and API Access & Security branch in Canberra, expanding its national footprint following the acquisition of API Access & Security in August 2025.
The new co-branded branch commences trading on 2 March 2026 and represents the first new location launched since the group unified its door hardware and security businesses under the Access & Security Co banner.
The branch is led by Peter Johnson, who brings more than 25 years’ experience in the door hardware and locksmithing sector and the local team includes fully qualified, SCEC-endorsed commercial locksmiths, supporting high-security and government environments.
“Canberra is an important and growing market, particularly across government, commercial and infrastructure projects,” said Access & Security Co’s Spencer Lowndes.
“By bringing Access Hardware and API to the ACT, we’re providing the local construction industry with a single, trusted partner for both commercial door hardware and integrated security solutions.”
As well as delivering access to commercial door hardware, locksmithing and electronic security services for ACT trade customers, the co-branded branch consolidates Access Hardware’s commercial door hardware capability with API’s locksmithing, master key and security systems expertise, providing a single local point of supply and technical support.
Lowndes said the Fyshwick opening reflects a long-term commitment to trade customers.
“This new branch opening reinforces our position as Australia’s leading door hardware, locksmith and security partner, combining national capability with strong local service,” he said.
The new Access Hardware and API Access & Security branch is located at 2/73 Collie St, Fyshwick – you can check out Access & Security Co brands here or read more SEN news here.
