He replaces Vonage founder and Chairman of the Board Jeffrey Citron, who now becomes the company’s chairman and chief strategist. In his new role, Snyder will oversee the day-to-day operations of various entities within the Vonage umbrella. “Over the past four months, I have actively recruited Mike to take on the CEO role within Vonage’s management team to run Vonage’s day-to-day operations. Now with Mike onboard, I can get back to working on what I love: the go- to-market strategy for products, technical vision and core values of the company I founded more than five years ago with four engineers and a folding table,” said Citron, in a statement. “The board and I are very excited to welcome Mike to the Vonage team, and we are very happy to make him part of our vision.” Snyder, who began his career with ADT in 1977, has held the title of president of the Tyco Fire & Security installation and services company since 1997. During his tenure as president of ADT, he grew the company to serve more than six million customers in North America, increasing revenues six-fold.
