ADT, Yale Introduce Yale Assure Lock 2 Touch with Z-Wave for ADT+.
ADT, Yale Introduce Yale Assure Lock 2 Touch – ADT has released the Yale Assure Lock 2 Touch with Z-Wave 800 Series integration for the ADT+ smart home platform.
The lock combines fingerprint authentication with Z-Wave 800 Series wireless communication and is the first Z-Wave device to support the new User Credential Command Class, enabling users to disarm or arm their ADT+ system directly via fingerprint at the lock.
The lock supports multiple authentication options, including biometric fingerprint access, PIN code entry, physical key, virtual key control via the ADT+ app, and the ‘Trusted Neighbour’ Auto Unlock feature. With this integration, users can manage entry and system state directly at the door without needing separate commands from other devices.

ADT is also rolling out version 3.6 of its ADT+ app. The update includes a home/away feature that uses geofencing to detect the presence of registered mobile devices and switch the home between secure and unarmed states. When no devices are present within the geofence, the app will automatically arm the system, lock doors, and trigger other automations.
Home and away status is displayed on the ADT+ dashboard and can send alerts when the system is unarmed and the home is vacant. The update also improves navigation with a redesigned interface intended to make frequently used features more accessible.
