AJAX FireProtect 2 SB sensor is a smart, wireless fire detector from Ajax Systems that features heat, smoke and CO sensors.
The FireProtect 2 SB has a 10-year sealed battery life, a dust proof smoke chamber, is impenetrable by insects and doesn’t require regular cleaning. The wireless is AJAX Jeweller encrypted and the range is 1700 metres when used with an AJAX hub.
It also features a dual-spectrum optical smoke sensor that filters out false alarms from dust and steam, the thermistor quickly reacts to the synthetic materials burning. Thermistors are located outside the detector for faster threat detection.
If the room temperature exceeds 64C or increases at more than 10C per minute, the detector recognizes this as a rapid temperature rise and raises the alarm. The temperature alarm can trigger even if there is no smoke in the room.
A built-in chemical sensor with a service life of at least 10 years is responsible for detecting a dangerous concentration of carbon monoxide in FireProtect 2. Battery life is also 10 years.
FireProtect 2 SB has a clever design and easy installation, thanks to its in-app settings and mounting, sophisticated software minimizes false alarms, while an 85dB buzzer alerts residents or workers in an emergency and detectors can be interconnected so all will go into alarm if one sensor activates.
