Alice Springs Hospital Seeks CCTV For Mental Health Unit.
Alice Springs Hospital Seeks CCTV — Northern Territory Department of Logistics and Infrastructure has released a tender seeking supply, delivery, and installation of a new CCTV system for the mental health unit at Alice Springs Hospital.
Alice Springs Hospital, the primary acute medical facility for Central Australia, has 186 beds and caters to a population of around 60,000, including visitors to the area. The hospital provides comprehensive medical and specialist services, including dedicated training programs.
The CCTV tender, which closes on 8 May 2025, specifies that the new system must include sufficient storage capacity to retain recordings for a minimum of 40 days.
This tender follows an earlier procurement released in 2020 by the NT Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics, which involved upgrading the duress alarm system at the mental health unit.
The previous upgrade separated the mental health unit’s system from the main ward block Austco duress system, incorporating an advanced IP-based Durasuite solution. The current tender doesn’t mention it, but there may be some integration between this proposed CCTV system and the existing alarm system.
Interested contractors must attend a mandatory site inspection scheduled for 10am April 24 – note that registration is required. You can learn more about this Alice Springs Hospital Seeks CCTV tender here, or read more SEN news here.
