Ambulance Victoria, which was formed with the merging of the Metropolitan Ambulance Service, the Rural Ambulance Victoria, and the Alexandra District Ambulance Service, is a Victorian agency of the Department of Health, and the statutory provider of pre-hospital emergency care and ambulance services in Victoria.

Ambulance Victoria has 4123 staff, a budget of more than $A800 million and provides emergency medical response to more than 5.9 million people in an area of more than 227,000 square kilometres.
