LSC is distributing AMC’s Soutdoor/T 2 PIR, 1 microwave IP65-rated detector can be used for all external installations.
This sensor can be programmed by PC software, which means it’s very efficient and capable for specific applications, including near gardens with a lot of plants, around animals, in the sun, and near other sources that might cause false alarms.
Range is from 3-15 metres, there’s internal memory events, to verify which technology has generated an alarm and lens choices include volumetric and vertical/horizontal curtain, PET immunity adjustable with different weight, double anti-masking with active IR, back tamper, and anti-opening with microswitch. Temperature range is 30-70C and dimensions are 85mm wide, 185mm high and 66mm deep.
Other features include anti-inclination tamper with accelerometer when it is used with bracket, 3 relay outputs for alarm functions, masking and blinding, input of block detector (exclusion microwave when the system is disarmed), trimmer coverage regulation in the function stand alone, Protection class IP65, LED 2-colour red and green for pre-commissioning and status indication, 6 dip switches to setup functions, along with auto or multi-impulse pre-set programmable by PC.
According to AMC, the unit has maximum endurance, thanks to high protection grade and interchangeable lenses. Complete programming of all detector functions covers graphic visualization of each technology coverage, consultation of recent events memorized by detector, configuration the outputs, configuration of 4 pre-sets based on requirements, and the ability to configure pre-alarms, using one or more detector technologies.
