LOX SH2500 Electro Magnetic Shear Lock – The LOX SH2500 Electro Magnetic Shear Lock is specifically designed for double-action swing-through doors with a 180-degree swing range.
Unlike standard electromagnetic locks that rely on tensile force, the SH2500 operates using shear alignment force. When the lock detects the door is in a closed position, its magnet lifts the armature plate approximately 5mm, securely engaging it within the lock body’s aluminium frame.
This shear lock is capable of handling voltages ranging from 12 to 24V DC, making it versatile for various power supply requirements. It offers a holding strength of up to 250kg, ensuring robust and reliable door security and this lock type has been factory tested to over 400,000 operational cycles.
LOX SH2500 Electro Magnetic Shear Lock comes with built-in monitoring capabilities through an integrated Hall Effect Sensor. This sensor provides real-time feedback on the lock status, allowing users or security systems to confirm if the door is securely locked or unlocked. An LED indicator further simplifies the lock status check.
Installers and locksmiths should note that shear locks, including the SH2500, are not suitable for sliding doors and should not be used on doors exceeding 2100mm in height or 900mm in width. The LOX SH2500 meets CE and RCM approval standards and offers a 2-year warranty.
