ASSA ABLOY Aperio IL100 Wireless Access Control – ASSA ABLOY’s Aperio IL100 is a wireless electronic access control solution designed around the Australian commercial door market, combining an Australian-footprint mortice lock with a compact reader and Lockwood Brass Core door furniture.
The IL100 provides a cable-free alternative to hard-wired electronic access control, allowing mechanical doors to be upgraded without running wiring to the opening. It integrates with Lockwood Brass Core furniture so electronic and mechanical doors can use consistent hardware and finishes across a building.
The reader supports RFID credentials as well as mobile credentials using NFC and BLE. An integrated LED and audio signal provides confirmation of access granted or denied.
The IL100 incorporates monitoring for door position, mechanical key override and request-to-exit. The door position sensor provides live door status, while key override monitoring identifies mechanical bypass events. The inside handle remains engaged and incorporates request-to-exit sensing.
A concealed in-door battery provides up to 3 years of battery life, while wireless Aperio communication eliminates the need for wiring at the door. A mechanical key override supports Australian standard keying systems, providing mechanical access where required.
The system can integrate with access control platforms using the Aperio AADP protocol or a Wiegand hub. The manufacturer states that no separate database integration is required. The reader is rated IP55, while the lock is rated AS4145.2 with classifications S8, C6 and D8. Selected furniture is AS1428.1 compliant.
The IL100 is available with Lockwood Brass Core furniture, with a range of lever styles and metal and powdercoat finishes produced at Lockwood’s Oakleigh site in Victoria.
An optional electronic privacy button can provide user-controlled privacy mode. The system is intended for commercial, education, workplace and premium fit-out applications. ASSA ABLOY specifies a 5-year electronic warranty and 25-year furniture warranty.
The new IL100 can also be configured using an online 3D configurator that allows readers, lever styles and finishes to be selected and visualised before specification.
