Axis Cloud Connect Nails SOC 2 Type 2 Attestation For AXIS Device Manager Edge, AXIS Device Manager Extend, and AXIS Body Worn Live.
Axis Cloud Connect Nails SOC 2 Type 2 Attestation – Axis Communications has achieved SOC 2 Type 2 attestation for its cloud security platform, underscoring its cybersecurity and operational controls.
For sectors relying on cloud-connected physical security, including government, transport, healthcare, retail and critical infrastructure, the attestation provides objective evidence that Axis’ cloud services meet established Trust Services Criteria. It also supports procurement and compliance processes by reducing the need for bespoke security assessments.
Meanwhile, Axis says the result reflects its broader security-by-design approach, which combines hardened edge devices with controlled cloud services, and reinforces the role of Axis Cloud Connect as a secure foundation for device management, live video services and future cloud-enabled security applications.

The process included an independent audit covering Axis Cloud Connect, the company’s open cloud platform, and a range of cloud-enabled services built on it, including AXIS Device Manager Edge, AXIS Device Manager Extend, and AXIS Body Worn Live. Unlike a point-in-time review, SOC 2 Type 2 assesses how controls perform over an extended period, validating that security, availability, and confidentiality measures operate consistently under real-world conditions.
Axis Cloud Connect underpins secure device onboarding, identity management, encrypted communications and lifecycle management for connected devices and services. The assessment confirms that these controls are applied consistently across the platform, rather than being limited to individual applications. For integrators and end users, this provides independent assurance that cloud-connected Axis systems can be deployed and operated at scale with predictable security behaviour.
This SOC 2 Type 2 result builds on Axis’ SOC 2 Type 1 attestation completed in August 2024, which verified the design and implementation of controls. The Type 2 outcome extends that assurance by demonstrating durability, operational discipline and resilience over time, aligning with growing expectations around vendor risk management and cloud governance.
