Ballina Byron Gateway Airport is a small regional airport located at Ballina, New South Wales, Australia. It is owned and operated by Ballina Shire Council. The airport had 530,000 passengers in 2019. A $A23 million runway upgrade will take the runway from 30 metres to 45 metres, allowing larger aircraft to land.

“There has been a strong and sustained demand for our airport’s services, this funding will ensure we continue to grow,” said Ballina Shire Council Mayor David Wright said.
