Bluechip Infotech Appoints Mark Romer GM Electronic Security Products

Mark Romer has been appointed general manager of Bluechip Infotech’s Security Products business in Australia and New Zealand.

“We are delighted to have appointed Mark to develop new business and opportunities with our vendors and current resellers,” said Johnson Hsiung – managing director of Bluechip Infotech. “With over 30 years’ experience in the security industry working in senior management roles, Mark will be an asset to the business and brings a wealth of knowledge to this new leadership role.”

Romer said he was delighted to join a well-established distribution business supporting the IT, security and industrial markets and was looking forward to developing turnkey solutions and diversification of value-added services to support Bluechip’s broad access to channel partners in all vertical markets.

“The synergy and collaboration between the IT and electronic security markets are critical factors in delivering the right solutions to assist people and businesses,” Romer said.

“I’m thrilled to discover new opportunities and believe our core solutions for emerging technologies, such as ICT/IoT/security convergence bolstered by the rest of Bluechip’s portfolio, will elevate our business by offering complete turnkey solutions to suit end-user requirements.”

Before joining Bluechip Infotech, Romer had leadership positions with Satchwell Controls, Dedicated Micros, Pelco by Schneider Electric, Tyco Security Products and Avigilon/Motorola Solutions.

Established in 2000, Bluechip Infotech focuses on delivering the latest IT products to a broad channel base, while maintaining a dedicated commitment to first-class service through local support, with Australian offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide.
