Bosch Solution 6000 IP Upgrades and New Keypads

Bosch Solution 6000 IP Upgrades – Bosch Solution 6000 is one of the electronic security industry’s quiet achievers, building a serious following thanks to a solid feature set and ongoing upgrades that allow considerable flexibility of operation.

Recent upgrades expand reporting options when using the Bosch Solution 6000 IP version of the panel. According to Bosch Intrusion Systems product manager for EMEA & APR, Jay Vara, because there’s no dialler with 6000 IP, in the past installers haven’t been able to connect the panel to a monitoring station using the popular Permaconn alarm communicators.

“Now we have a STU interface (RS-232) which allows use of Permaconn with 6000 IP,” Vara says. “The STU connects panel and communicator, allowing direct connection to Permaconn control rooms. It’s very simple for them to connect the panel to one side of the STU and the Permaconn communicator to the other.”

Alongside the new STU, Bosch 2 new 3.5-inch colour graphical keypads also impress. There’s 1 with a 40-bit MiFare smart card reader built-in while the other has a 40-bit MiFare smart card reader and Wi-Fi.

Vara points out that the Bosch Solution 6000’s new wireless keypad, which delivers 2-way wireless on a smart RF bus, also supports MyAlarm for upgrade and download via the MyAlarm app.

“Because the keypad has Wi-Fi onboard you can use the MyAlarm app service with Wi-Fi upload and download,” he explains. “The new wireless keypads will also link to the MyAlarm iFob and if they are connected via 4G you get app-based control for arming and disarming and user ID as well.”

As a baseline, the Bosch Solution 6000 has up to 144 zones, and supports 16 access doors or readers and 990 users. There are wired and wire-free keypad options, with a choice of arming and disarming using an 8-digit PIN code, a wireless remote, smart card or token, biometric fingerprint, auto-arm function, or via MyAlarm app or MyAlarm iFob.
