Edward and Laurie Stolarz received three years of free monitoring and had $10,000 donated in their name to the American Cancer Society by becoming the 1,000,000th customer to sign up for Brink’s Home Security since it went into business in 1983. “We have reached this important milestone through our employees’ commitment to providing customers with superior service, rapid response and peace of mind,” said Brink’s Home Security President Bob Allen (Allen was featured in the November 2005 SSI feature “Real Hope for False Alarms.” Brink’s opened up its home security unit in Portland, Ore., in 22 years ago and now serves more than 250 metropolitan areas.
