    Council Stumps $NZD1.4 Million For Napier CCTV

    – Napier City Council in NZ is seeking supply and maintenance of a $NZD1.4 Million public space CCTV solution to address citizen’s safety concerns around gangs and crime.

    Council will take over operation of the existing 18-camera system and will spend $459,000 upgrading it. The full package will cost around to $1.4 million, with ongoing annual costs of $320,000.

    When fully operational there will be 5 people employed to run the CCTV network and 5 employed as part of a city ‘ambassador team’ to encourage good behaviour, plus an overall manager.
