EliteAlarms Expands Global Reach – EliteAlarms is expanding its presence in international security markets, building on 40 years of alarm system development and manufacturing in New Zealand – you’ll see its new tech on the CSM stand at SAGE Expo Realm Hotel Canberra November 19.
The company’s latest developments centre around the EC-i security platform, which combines intrusion detection, access control, hybrid wireless, cloud services hosted in Sydney and third-party integration within a single system.

With hardware, firmware, cloud services and product development managed in-house, EliteAlarms says maintaining control over the complete platform allows it to respond quickly to installer requirements while continuing to develop new products and features.
Ethernet connectivity is built into the EC-i, while an optional 4G module provides cellular communication for primary or backup connectivity. The EliteAlarms native app and Installer Dashboard provide installers and end users with remote access to system status, control and management.
Integration is another focus for the New Zealand manufacturer. Current integrations include Permaconn, Control4 home automation and BQT secure reader technology, with further collaboration announcements expected.

Five things to ask on the stand01Which EC-i panel sizes and zone/door counts are shipping in Australia, and which are still to come?02Is the 4G module carrier-locked, and does it support dual-path reporting alongside Ethernet?03What does the Sydney cloud cost the installer per site per month, and what works if the cloud is unreachable?04Which Australian monitoring standards and grades does the Permaconn path meet?05Who holds the installer relationship after the sale — CSM or EliteAlarms — for firmware, RMAs and the Installer Dashboard?
The EC-i is intended for residential and commercial security applications, with the platform providing a central point for connected security functions. EliteAlarms is continuing to develop the system as it expands into international markets.
