Fortis Wins Greater Dandenong CCTV Renewal Project Covering VMS And Storage Solutions.

Fortis Wins Greater Dandenong CCTV Renewal Project – City of Greater Dandenong has awarded Fortis the first phase of its CCTV Renewal Project, covering replacement of the council’s existing video management software and supporting server and storage hardware.

The project is intended to consolidate the council’s CCTV systems into a centralised platform, improve system performance and reliability, strengthen integration with the Victoria Police network and provide greater capacity for future expansion. The upgrade will also enhance video analytics, including people and vehicle counting.

Phase 1 includes the supply and installation of NDAA-compliant server and storage hardware and a new NDAA-compliant video management system, together with integration with existing CCTV equipment and the Victoria Police network.

According to the tender release, the successful provider is also responsible for testing and validation, user training, system documentation, post-installation support and maintenance, and hardware and software warranty services.

The project also considered video surveillance as a service (VSaaS), with the council seeking to improve scalability and real-time monitoring while reducing long-term operational costs.

Fortis is a security systems integrator providing CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, monitoring and related technology services. The company operates across Australia and works across commercial, government, industrial and critical infrastructure environments.
