Gallagher Announces New Security in Focus Hosts Will Take On Tech Talk Podcast.

The company Announces New Security in Focus Hosts – Gallagher says 2 new voices will be taking the reins for Security in Focus: Tech Talk podcast beginning with the next episode.

Shane Keesom, engineering centre of excellence lead, and Matthew Dean, technical support team leader, will take over as hosts, while former host chief technology officer, Steve Bell, focuses on other projects.

For nearly 18 years, Keesom has been involved in the support and evolution of Gallagher’s security solutions and has recently taken up a new role leading the Engineering Centre of Excellence’s team of Solutions Engineers, having previously managed the Technical Support team.

Meanwhile Dean has been technical support team leader at Gallagher for 8 years and is passionate about curating a smooth, world-class customer support experience. Together, they plan to cultivate a podcast that takes a customer-centric point of view, while satisfying the interests of security technicians, installers, and everyone who want to learn more about Gallagher’s security solutions.

“Matt and I come from various technical backgrounds, but between us we’ve also got lots of experience working with customers and solving site issues,” Keesom said. “This podcast can be a valuable resource for helping our audience and their customers, discussing the information that’s relevant, memorable, and makes their lives easier.”

Dean agrees the podcast has plenty of potential.

“I’m approaching the podcast with my customer hat on and thinking, what do they want to hear?” he said. “I listen to a lot of podcasts, and I love that forum for learning new things. I’m excited to chat with our guests and I’m expecting to learn a lot, along with our audience.”

Gallagher Announces New Security in Focus Hosts

That combination of technical and customer-centric focuses has both Keesom and Dean excited to get started and dive into more detailed conversations about the latest topics on audiences’ minds.

“For me it’s all about getting a good message across to people and being reactive within the podcast,” Dean said.

Meanwhile Keesom said the team has been putting out Gallagher’s Tech Bulletin newsletter for a while, but a podcast takes this to a whole new level.

“We can talk more about topical subjects, learn from subject matter experts, and share the things happening right now we believe audiences need to know about,” he said. “It’s very exciting.”

Chief technology officer, Steve Bell, will maintain involvement in the production of Security in Focus: Tech Talk, but Keesom and Dean will officially take over as hosts of the podcast in the next episode, debuting at the end of March. At the same time, Bell will continue to host the Security in Focus: Security Scoop series.

Keesom and Dean’s first Tech Talk episode will feature guest Dave Solly, a Value Owner for Gallagher Security’s R&D team, who will be discussing perimeter solutions.
