Gallagher’s innovative Proximity and Contact Tracing Report took home the Outstanding New Product award at the New Zealand Security Awards on 7 August.

Developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the report gives Gallagher customers critical information to manage exposure and protect the health and safety of people on site.

Understanding just how critical this utility is for organizations around the world, Gallagher made its Proximity and Contact Tracing utility available to customers free of charge during the pandemic.

“The value our Proximity and Contact Tracing report provides to businesses was evident from the outset,” said Rachel Kelly, chief product officer for Gallagher’s security division. “We’re honoured to receive this award which recognizes that this innovation provides real help to organizations facing this crisis.”

“I’m very proud of our team who worked hard to produce this tool in an incredibly tight timeframe, while working in virtual environments,” said Kelly.

The Proximity and Contact Tracing Report enables organizations to quickly and accurately identify areas where a person with a contagious virus has been on site. It also identifies all other cardholders who shared these areas and therefore may have an elevated risk of infection. This information enables organizations to act rapidly and inform affected employees of the risk of infection, allowing them to take action, seek testing, and minimize spread of the virus.

The report was released in May 2020, well-timed to support organizations around the world in various stages of lockdown.
