Gallagher Teases New C7000 Controller For 2023 Release.
Gallagher Teases New C7000 Controller – Gallagher has given the industry a look at its new C7000 Standard controller, which is slated for release later this year.
SEN spoke with Mike Margrain, Gallagher’s regional technical manager for APAC & IMEA, about the product and the full story is coming soon, but there are a few things we can reveal in advance.
For a start, the C7000 hardware has the same footprint as the venerable 6000 controller, making physical upgrades much easier.
Cyber security is built into the C7000 controller, with an iMX8 System-on chip and a NXP Edgelock secure element ensuring Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) and guaranteeing device and software authenticity on each device.

There’s a new processor in the C7000 and it’s 10x more powerful than before, can execute decisions 25x faster than before, and resync a cardholder database in half the time.
The C7000 is designed to handle access control, intruder alarms, perimeter security, business automation and logic needs – and it’s designed to be futureproof. Given the technological cusp the electronic security is balanced on, that’s probably the most important aspect of all.
When we spoke, Margrain pointed out the Controller 7000 Standard “truly is a platform for the future, with a planned roadmap of new capabilities that will be delivered through software updates via Gallagher Care Plan”.
Keep an eye out for our full report on the development of the Gallagher C7000 coming up in SEN.
