Gallagher Urges Organisations To Be Cyber Smart

Rated as one of the top concerns for businesses around the world, cyber crime is on the rise and security systems are high on the list of potential targets.

To bring attention to the risks, Gallagher has been advocating for Cyber Security Awareness Month this October. Through a range of online activities and content, Gallagher has been highlighting ways organisations can be cyber smart and protect themselves against constantly evolving cyber threats.

“With the increasing interconnectedness between systems, programs, and networks, it’s vitally important to ensure your security solutions are cyber secure,” says Steve Bell, chief technology officer at Gallagher. “Weak cyber security puts your whole system at risk of attack. This month, our focus has been on helping organisations understand cyber risks and identify ways they can ensure they are protected.”

Gallagher has produced several cyber-focussed resources in recent weeks, including episodes of their ‘did you know’ video series, a soon-to-be-published white paper on recognising cyber-responsible vendors, and regular social media polls, posts, and updates designed to get organisations thinking about their approach to cyber security and whether they meet best practice.

A special cyber edition of Gallagher’s Security in Focus podcast series, recorded by Steve Bell, will be released later this month – you can join the conversation on LinkedIn or click here  for more information.
