Gallagher User Group Lights Up Adelaide With More Than 100 Partners Attending.
Gallagher User Group Lights Up Adelaide – Gallagher Security’s 2025 User Group event in Adelaide brought together more than 100 end users and security professionals for 2 days of technical briefings, workshops, and partner collaboration.
Held at SkyCity Casino on June 3–4, the event marked the largest Gallagher Security User Group (GSUG) to date, reinforcing the company’s ongoing commitment to customer engagement and support.
Nicola Johnson, Gallagher national events manager – Australia, said this year’s theme, Unlock More, was designed to help users maximise their systems and deepen their industry connections.
“GSUG is a key fixture on our calendar of events, and this year we successfully equipped attendees with the latest Gallagher Security knowledge while fostering collaboration among peers, industry leaders, and technology partners,” Johnson said.
The event included guest speakers, technology briefings, breakout workshops and demonstrations.
“Our curated agenda included guest speakers, networking sessions, product demonstrations, interactive breakout workshops, and training workshops, which provided a fantastic opportunity to share Gallagher expertise with the industry,” Johnson said.
Gallagher speakers included Mike Margrain (technical director – APAC and IMEA), Danielle Mitchell (training manager – APAC and IMEA), Dean Matheson (national technical manager – Australia), Karl Harris (national high security and federal manager – Australia), and Keith Neville (sales manager – South Australia and Northern Territory).
They were joined by Andrew Scothern (chief architect), Scott Ridder (value stream lead – enterprise), Steve Bell (chief technology officer), and Tyson Barnett (product manager – credentials) from the Gallagher head office in New Zealand.
Keynotes featured speakers from organisations including the City of Adelaide, De Stefano & Co, the University of Sydney, Australian Naval Infrastructure and Loy Yang B Power Station. Johnson said partner involvement was also central to the event’s success.
“Attendees took the opportunity to connect with Technology Partners including ASSA ABLOY, Entrust, IDEMIA, Milestone Systems, Motorola Solutions, and Traka who exhibited their latest solutions and integrations with Gallagher,” she said.
“It was fantastic to take stock of the security industry during this inspiring panel discussion featuring Rob Galic (ASSA ABLOY), Tony Pastore (Milestone Systems), and Mike Duffield (Rapid).”
Workshops delivered during the event included emergency evacuation and mobile evacuation, alarms and alarm viewers, and creating and assigning competencies.
“Our GSUG workshops were specifically designed to showcase valuable insights into key Gallagher product features and support end users to maximise the potential of their Command Centre solutions,” Johnson said.
“The success of the event reflects both the long-term relationships Gallagher Security has established in Australia as well as the interest that lies in our innovative, world-leading security solutions.”
