Droneshield Wins Million Dollar Australian Contract For Its Counter-Drone Technology.
Droneshield Wins Million Dollar Australian Contract – An Australian federal law enforcement agency has awarded a contract worth over $A1 million to DroneShield for the delivery of counter-drone technology.
The contract to the unnamed agency supports efforts to modernise operational capabilities in response to the growing threat of unauthorised drone activity across controlled and sensitive airspace.
DroneShield systems are designed, developed, and supported in Australia, allowing the unnamed agency to meet capability requirements while maintaining compliance with national policy favouring sovereign industrial support.
DroneShield’s detection and disruption technologies are AI-driven and integrate radio frequency sensing with deep-learning signal recognition. The selected suite includes a combination of hand-held, mobile, and deployable systems designed to protect critical infrastructure, major public events, and restricted facilities. The systems deliver non-kinetic mitigation and are optimised for ease of deployment in varied field conditions.
The deal consolidates DroneShield’s role in domestic law enforcement and civilian security operations, where speed of detection and response is critical and operational settings are increasingly complex.
