GOOGLE has teamed up with security manufacturer First Alert to develop protocols that allow Onelink by First Alert products to function with the Google Home device and its hands-free, voice-controlled Google Assistant technology.

The first Google Home-compatible Onelink product is a smart WiFi Thermostat and will reach the market before Christmas.

“First Alert brings expertise in home safety and security to this partnership,” said Tom Russo, vice president of marketing for First Alert."
