At INTERSEC 2005, Multicom Security AB presented Monitored Alarm Transmission Systems using leased line and wireless (GSM/GPRS) transmission paths.

The system is designed for transmission of intruder -, fire -, technical alarms etc., which require reliable performance and high security.

“Together with our partners we can offer a complete installation with the dial up system and the Alarm Receiving System in the Arabic language.” claims Börje Enblom, Product Manager at Multicom Security.

Multicom Security received their latest order from the UAE for supervised alarm communication from the Emirate of Sharjah. This means that Multicom Security has supplied equipment to two out of the seven emirates of the UAE.

The approximately 1000 end users connected there are mainly banks, jewellery shops and money exchange offices. Local regulations make it mandatory for these kinds of outlets to have supervised alarm transmission of the kind Multicom supplies.

The owner of the alarm network, the national police, has very stringent demands on the level of security and its function as well as on the level of false alarms.

Multicom Security AB carried out the first installation in the UAE in 1996, and the performance over the last eight years has been very good, a fact that has made this most recent order possible.

“Our customers in the UAE have extremely high demands in functionality and security for supervised alarm transmissions. To be entrusted with the delivery of a second system, we see as a proof of the fact that our product meets the highest international standards” says Bo Blåeldh, Vice President and Marketing Director of Multicom Security.

Multicom operates two telecommunication networks within two different market segments in Sweden with more than 50,000 customers, namely monitored alarm transmission, in which Multicom is the sole provider of the service in Sweden, and mobile data communication.
