Hikvision Hybrid ColorVu Camera Combines Low Light Colour With IR.

Hikvision Hybrid ColorVu – Hikvision’s Hybrid ColorVu cameras combine low light colour imaging technology with IR to deliver strong performance in low light.

According to Hikvision, low-light technology has evolved significantly over time. Before 2005, IR technology wasn’t available, and it wasn’t until 2014 that cameras powered by DarkFighter technology emerged, offering enhanced low light performance.

“Fast forward to 2017, ColorVu technology revolutionised imaging in low-light conditions,” says Hikvision. “Now, in 2024, we introduce a new era of innovation – Hikvision’s Hybrid ColorVu cameras.”

Hikvision Hybrid ColorVu Cameras have 2 key strengths – IR imaging and colour imaging. Thanks to the Super Confocal technology, Hikvision’s Hybrid ColorVu Cameras offer excellent IR imaging that Hikvision engineers say sets a new standard in clarity in low-light conditions, surpassing conventional cameras.

Hikvision’s Super Confocal Technology allows differing light wavelengths to travel along the same path through a set of specially designed lenses, overcoming focusing challenges. This ensures clear, sharply focused imaging with the same set of lenses, either with visible light or infrared light.

“This cutting-edge technology is integrated into our latest Hybrid Light ColorVu cameras, delivering consistent, crystal-clear black and white imaging in the IR mode,” Hikvision says.

When it comes to colour imaging, these cameras deliver exceptional colour imaging in ultra-low light environments with an advanced 1/1.8-inch CMOS sensor, cutting-edge image processing and a super-fast F1.0 aperture lens.

There are 3 distinct lighting options: 24/7 colour mode, classic IR (black and white) mode, or the Smart mode. In Smart mode, infrared illumination persists until a triggering event seamlessly transitions the camera into colour mode, capturing crucial details. With 3 lighting modes available – IR light, white light, and smart mode – this camera can suit many needs.
