i‑PRO Security Radar Integrates AI PTZ – i‑PRO has released its new outdoor security radar system designed for perimeter protection in critical infrastructure environments.
The i‑PRO Security Radar uses 60GHz millimetre wave technology to detect and track people and vehicles across a 180-degree field of view, integrating directly with up to four AI-enabled i‑PRO PTZ cameras.
The system supports detection ranges up to 70 metres for people and 100 metres for vehicles, providing real-time location data for tracking by PTZ cameras without requiring additional server infrastructure.
The radar operates in low light and adverse weather conditions and integrates with Genetec, Milestone, and VideoInsight VMS platforms. It is also compatible with Genetec’s Restricted Security Area (RSA) surveillance module.
Installation is supported through a built-in camera with tablet-based setup. A coastal model variant is available for high-salt environments, and the system is FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certified for cybersecurity compliance.
The radar is intended for sites such as data centres, power plants, and remote infrastructure and will be available from January 2026 in the US, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, with Vietnam to follow by April.
