i-PRO Fisheye CV72 X-Series

i-PRO Fisheye CV72 X-Series Now at BGW Technologies Featuring Fisheye Views And GenAI At The Edge.

i-PRO Fisheye CV72 X-Series Now at BGW Technologies – According to Mark Shannon, national product manager at BGW Technologies, the new SSI award winning fisheye CV72 camera range from i-PRO is the most advanced fisheye camera with GenAI at the edge, designed for mission-critical environments, requiring high performance, ruggedness and cutting-edge AI features.

This new CV72 camera is ideal for applications including, airports transportation hubs, retail spaces, museums, data centers, healthcare facilities, and large campuses – this one camera covers a lot of ground making it a real gamechanger for busy control rooms,” Shannon explains.

The CV72 X-Series models are part of a completely new series of Fisheye cameras. I-PRO has launched 6 models (2 indoor and 4 outdoor) of the CV72 models (X-series models with GenAI). Fisheye cameras give you a full 360-degree view from a single lens, so they’re great for open spaces where you don’t want blind spots.

Unlike multi-sensor cameras, one compact unit covers the whole area, which brings down your hardware and installation costs. They also make life easier because there’s no need for PTZ tracking in an open space, and they still handle the smart stuff like privacy masking and AI detection. You get simpler, more secure coverage all round.”

In their development of the series, i-PRO focused on AI Free text detection and search, and they have made it super simple,” Shannon says.

Instead of setting up complicated rules, you just type what you want – for instance: ‘Person lying down’ or ‘Delivery truck.’ The camera watches for these events and alerts users the second they happen. That’s down to i-PRO’s new CV72 chip, which runs the AI inside the camera. There’s no cloud, no extra servers. Your footage stays on site, which keeps it secure and keeps things fast.”

It’s these key features which earned the new i-PRO Fisheye CV72 X-Series the 2026 Security Sales & Integration Most Valuable Product (MVP) Award,” Shannons says.

This recognition highlights the insight and innovative technologies that i-PRO have foreseen with the development of these cameras.”

Questions & Answers
i-PRO Fisheye CV72 X-Series: what installers are asking
What is a fisheye camera good for?
A fisheye gives a full 360-degree view from a single lens, which suits open spaces where blind spots matter. i-PRO nominates airports and transport hubs, retail, museums, data centres, healthcare facilities and large campuses.
How does it compare with a multi-sensor camera?
One compact unit covers the whole area rather than several imagers, which BGW Technologies says brings down hardware and installation cost. There is also no PTZ tracking to configure in an open space.
What is AI Free Text Detection?
Rather than building rule sets, an operator types a plain description of what they want found — person lying down or delivery truck — and the camera watches for that event and alerts when it happens.
Does the AI run in the cloud?
No. Processing runs on i-PRO’s CV72 chip inside the camera, with no cloud service and no additional servers. Footage stays on site, which BGW Technologies says keeps it secure and keeps response fast.
How many models are in the range?
i-PRO has launched six CV72 X-Series models with GenAI: two indoor and four outdoor. Specifications for individual models are not detailed in this release.
How rugged are the outdoor models?
The range carries IK11 impact and IP69 ingress ratings for harsh environments. Which ratings apply to which of the six models is not stated — confirm per model with BGW Technologies.
What about cybersecurity and compliance?
Cybersecurity is built to enterprise standards and the range carries FIPS 140-3 Level 3 compliance. The platform is open and runs third-party applications.
Where can I get one in Australia?
The CV72 X-Series is available through BGW Technologies. Contact your local branch for pricing, model selection and availability.
