i-PRO releases WV-X67711-Z3L3 4K Rugged AI PTZ – i-PRO has released the WV-X67711-Z3L3, a ruggedised 4K PTZ camera designed for long-range surveillance in exposed and high-risk environments.

The camera delivers 4K resolution at up to 30 frames per second using a 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor, with a 30x optical zoom covering a focal range of 4.5mm to 135mm. This provides a horizontal field of view from 62 degrees at the wide end and 2.5 degrees at the long, delivering operators excellent reach.

Low light performance is supported down to approximately 0.19 lux in colour and 0.006 lux in black and white, with a white LED illumination system extending visibility in complete darkness. The integrated white light has a stated range of up to 160 metres at lower illumination thresholds and around 120 metres at higher image quality levels.

Dynamic range is specified up to 132dB, supporting scene detail in high contrast environments, while digital noise reduction and image stabilisation assist in maintaining image clarity at long zoom ranges and in challenging conditions.

The camera supports AI-based analytics at the edge, including people and vehicle detection, face detection, occupancy monitoring and AI-driven motion detection. Up to 3 edge applications can be deployed simultaneously, along with AI-based auto tracking.

From an operational perspective, the PTZ platform offers full 360-degree continuous pan and tilt from -90 to +90 degrees, with preset speeds up to 200 degrees per second and support for 256 preset positions. This enables rapid repositioning across large coverage areas, supporting perimeter, infrastructure and transport applications.

The WV-X67711-Z3L3 is engineered for harsh environments, with an operating temperature range from -50 to +65 degrees Celsius and wind resistance rated for operation in speeds up to 75 metres per second. The housing is rated IP66 and IP68 for ingress protection and IK10 for impact resistance, with additional corrosion and environmental certifications supporting deployment in coastal and industrial locations.

Additional features include an integrated wiper and automatic defroster to maintain image clarity in rain, snow and condensation, supporting continuous operation in adverse weather conditions.

From a system perspective, the camera supports multiple video streams up to 4K resolution using H.265 or H.264 compression, with onboard security including FIPS 140-2 Level 3 compliant secure element hardware and support for certificate-based authentication – it’s a solid specification list from i-PRO.

The camera is NDAA compliant and is designed for applications including critical infrastructure, transport, perimeter security and other environments where long-range visibility, environmental resilience and edge-based analytics are required.
