ICT Protege Wireless Locks Released In North America.
ICT Protege Wireless Locks – ICT’s range of Protege wireless locks will be released on the North American market in March – no word on ANZ release at the moment.
Available in cartridge mortise and motorized deadbolt form factors, the new Protege wireless locks include customizable reader covers, rose, and handle options in a variety of popular finishes. Compact and minimalist in design, the range can be styled to complement the aesthetics of any multi-dwelling unit.
According to James Ensten, vice president of Sales, ICT USA, to thrive in the current competitive market, property managers must deliver an exceptional living experience that aligns with the evolving expectations of tenants.
“A unified Protege ecosystem can deliver seamless movement from the parking garage, foyer, and elevator, right to the individual unit door with a single credential,” Ensten said.
The Protege Cartridge Mortise removes visible lock hardware on the door by encasing all electronic components inside the door itself, providing an elegant solution for unit or commercial door security.
The Protege Motorized Deadbolt is perfect for both retrofit and new build applications and has a mechanical key override for emergency openings.
Both options support data-on-card offline operation via DESFire smart card and Bluetooth/NFC mobile

“In the race for resident retention and profitability, staying attuned to the latest trends is key,” Ensten said. “Modern renters now expect the same level of convenience, high-tech amenities, and security in their apartment buildings as they do in other aspects of their lives. We are excited to share this new range of locks with our partners to provide a unified perimeter to penthouse experience.”
ICT has developed an online lock selector tool to enable customization and enquiries of the new range and pre-orders are now open for the Protege wireless locks, with general availability to the North American market in March. No word on if or when the locks will be released in ANZ.
