Inner Range IR Connect Cloud Platform Launching On June 2 Offers High Security, generative AI, advanced analytics and IoT.

Inner Range IR Connect Cloud Platform Launching – Inner Range will officially release IR Connect, a new cloud-connected services platform designed to offer remote connectivity to its security systems while retaining the security of on-premise data, on June 2.

According to Inner Range, IR Connect builds on 25 years’ experience and expands on existing services such as Multipath-IP and SkyTunnel, while introducing support for newer technologies, including generative AI, advanced analytics and IoT. The platform is designed to operate in hybrid mode, combining cloud-based flexibility with on-premise data storage.

“We are very excited to announce that IR Connect, Inner Range’s new cloud connected services platform has been deployed globally with the official launch on June 2,” says Jason Hartley, director of IoT at Inner Range.

“IR Connect is the culmination of over 25 years’ experience in the alarm monitoring services market and cloud connectivity platforms and was designed from the ground up with our customers’ needs in mind.”

“The objective was simple, provide the convenience and flexibility of a SaaS, combined with the trusted security of an on-premise solution. This is at the heart of the hybrid architecture that IR Connect offers.”

“Our customers’ critical operational data remains securely on-premise, while the cloud provides the remote connectivity to securely control, configure and review the Inner Range on-prem system.”

The hybrid model was a deliberate choice, according to Hartley, and the platform avoids full SaaS or VSaaS approaches in favour of enhanced security.

“Inner Range always puts security first, which means we completely understand how important data sovereignty and security is to our customers,” Hartley explains.

“This is why we’ve taken the hybrid approach as opposed to a pure cloud-based SAAS or VSAAS model that exposes customers’ data to cyberattacks. Our hybrid approach ensures enhanced data sovereignty and security for our customers, minimizing exposure to cyberattacks – unlike pure cloud-based models.”

IR Connect also supports management of both single and multi-site deployments through a secure cloud interface and includes features such as encrypted communications, role-based access control and real-time event monitoring.

“Whether managing a single site, or a multi-site deployment, IR Connect has been engineered for scalability, with robust support for role-based access, encrypted communications, and real-time event monitoring, IR Connect empowers the management of complex security environments with confidence,” Hartley explains.

The platform includes support for remote firmware upgrades of connected Inner Range devices, which is intended to reduce the need for technician site visits.

“Live system health monitoring combined with remote firmware update abilities not only reduce site visits but also enhance the responsiveness and efficiency of service teams,” he says. “IR Connect ensures that as soon as the Inner Range connected device goes online, the installer is prompted to update the firmware to the latest version ensuring that the customers system has all of the latest features and security enhancements at hand over.”

According to Hartley, IR Connect features an updated API framework designed to make third-party integration faster and easier.

“IR Connect introduces an updated API framework, facilitating quicker and easier integrations with third-party subsystems,” Hartley says. “This will now allow Inner Range to increase the number of integrations, either natively developed or intuitively enable 3rd party developers, to increase the capabilities of our entire ecosystem to offer more choice and more flexibility to our customers.”

According to Hartley, a range of integrated video surveillance products will be released in the coming weeks. These are intended to function within the IR Connect ecosystem to offer unified access control and video solutions.

“The IR Connect platform’s job is providing seamless remote access to our system, whether it be a smart mobile device, a laptop, or tablet, or our Integriti Enterprise Software,” he says.

“This new IR Connect platform gives our customers all the security benefits of an on-premise system but the convenience of a secure, encrypted cloud connection at anytime from anywhere in the world. This connection provides customers with a single, intuitive pane of glass that provides a window into their unified access control, video surveillance and security system.”
