ISCS Distributing hattrix Cloud Access

ISCS Distributing hattrix – ISCS has been appointed exclusive Australian distributor of the pioneering hattrix cloud access control solution.

A cloud-based access control, alarm solution and video surveillance platform now built and hosted on Australian Cloud servers and managed by Kantech’s EntraPass software, hattrix offers users a hosted security platform that can be administered from an IOS on Android app or from the desktop, as well as delivering installers and integrators a proven RMR model that has shaken up the North American market, delivering nearly the company nearly 30 per cent growth year on year for most of the past decade.

According to Hattrix global sales manager, Homer Enriquez, the distribution partnership with ISCS is the first exclusive partnership in the world and he believes the Australian market will quickly take to the hattrix product.

Feedback from potential Australia partners is that access control manufacturers are having some success with cloud solutions based on their existing offering,” Enriquez said. “But integrators have never seen a complete 360-degree cloud solution, including product and RMR business modelling.”

We’ve learned the key elements that are essential to success in cloud security applications – their lack is part of the reason some integrators have dabbled in cloud and not achieved impactful RMR growth.”

The support resources, the training resources, integrations, business consulting, and RMR modelling – there wasn’t a side of that sphere we didn’t analyse and hone over many years developing this product and that really stands out, given the feedback we’re getting from potential partners in Australia,” Enriquez said.

The creation of an RMR engine for our partners is something that snowballs after 3-5 years. The RMR engine generates so much money it enables them to get much more aggressive in terms of margin and price-point on other lines of business. We see hattrix partners getting larger and larger and then moving into acquisitions“.

Our research and projections suggest the access control market will be more than 50 per cent cloud-based by 2029. At this point proficient cloud players start to swallow up smaller integrators,” Enriquez said. “We see this in the US market where the top 10 cloud distributor integrators are all hattrix partners.”

According to Tyco Security Products ANZ distribution products partner manager, Darren Banks, the time is right for hattrix.

While cloud might seem new technology to traditional security installers, we are coming into this with 12 years of history, learning and success behind us,” Banks said.

Many competitors have only been doing cloud for a couple of years. They are still discovering pitfalls we resolved long ago“.

The great thing about the hattrix platform is that it’s access, intrusion and video, so we offer all 3 services – and the system scales from 1 door to 2.5 million doors,” Banks said.

Meanwhile, NSW state manager at ISCS, James Austen, said that while the proven RMR model of hattrix was a winner for installers and integrators, the system offers many core benefits, including cost savings, ease of use, and scalability.

It’s important for installers to understand that hattrix supports a single door going right up to an enterprise solution across multiple sites globally covering access control, alarms, and CCTV,” Austen said.

The way it best compares to competitors in terms of cost is that you only pay per door. You don’t buy a block of 10 or 20 doors at a time. If you need 1 door you pay for 1 door, if you need 2 doors you pay for 2 doors. That’s the way it works“.

There are also mobile access credentials using the JCI app at no charge, so it has some cost-effective benefits for the end user, as well as for the integrator,” Austen said.

Managing director at ARA Products, Stuart Harmer, said the ISCS team was excited about the possibilities of bringing a mature cloud electronic security technology like hattrix to its integrator customer base.

We’re targeting integrators who are early adopters and who we feel are best suited to a cloud access control solution – integrators who will understand the technology and the business model,” Harmer said.

As time goes on and the rest of the industry sees the success being enjoyed by these key integrators, the system will become more and more prominent, thanks to its ease of installation, brilliant RMR model and existing integrations with wireless locking solutions, like Aperio and SALTO to name just a few“.

This is a great technology that is well proven, and we know it will be a great success in the Australian market,” Harmer said.
