ISCS Outlines SecTech NZ Product Range Including Milesight, Network Optix, Nedap, HID And More.

ISCS Outlines SecTech NZ Product Range – ISCS has revealed some of the new gear it will bring to SecTech NZ this June, including Milesight, Nedap and HID Global.

The ranges showcases a mix of edge video, long-range vehicle access and credential technologies, with a focus on integration, simplified deployment and flexible system design.

Milesight’s OpenVision camera range centres on embedding the Network Optix Nx Witness VMS directly into the camera. With the VMS server running on the device, the camera supports live monitoring, playback and system management without the need for an external NVR or on-premise server. The approach reduces hardware overhead and avoids more complex network configuration typically associated with traditional VMS deployments.

Once online, the camera connects to Nx Cloud, allowing remote access and centralised management, while supporting multi-site environments through Nx Witness Merge. Video can be stored locally on the device or in the cloud, including integration with Wasabi cloud storage, while remaining accessible through the Nx Witness client interface. The result is an edge-based architecture that combines recording, analytics and management within a single device footprint.

On the access side, Nedap’s uPASS Go reader is designed for long-range vehicle identification in environments such as car parks, gated communities and staff access points. The reader operates using passive UHF RFID tags, identifying vehicles at distances of up to 10 metres without the need for onboard batteries.

The unit supports Wiegand, OSDP v2 secure channel and TCP/IP interfaces, allowing integration with most access control platforms. A circular polarisation antenna allows flexible tag orientation, supporting higher throughput in busy vehicle lanes. Installation features include a redesigned mounting bracket, service hatch and USB-C interface, with the reader built to ISO18000-6C standards and designed for outdoor operation.

HID Global is also showing its Signo reader range alongside HID Mobile Access. Signo readers support multiple credential technologies, including smart cards, Bluetooth, NFC and legacy formats, allowing staged upgrades without replacing existing credentials.

Mobile Access extends this capability, allowing users to access doors via smartphones, with credentials issued, managed and revoked remotely. The platform supports encrypted communication and credential technologies such as SEOS, aimed at reducing the risk of cloning and unauthorised access.

The 3 solutions reflect a broader direction in access and video — edge processing to reduce infrastructure, wireless identification for vehicle access, and mobile credentials replacing or supplementing physical cards.

Check them out at SecTech NZ in Auckland June 9, Wellington June 11 and Christchurch June 16 – you can register for your SecTech city here, learn more about ISCS here, or read more SEN news here.
