Karl Harris Joins Saab Australia – Saab Australia has appointed Karl Harris as business development director for public safety and security, strengthening its focus on physical security and situational awareness solutions in the Australian market.

Saab announced the appointment, stating that Harris will play a key role driving adoption of Saab OneView, its physical security information management platform for critical infrastructure and complex, geographically dispersed sites.

Harris brings experience in the Australian security sector and will lead market engagement for OneView across public safety, critical infrastructure and enterprise security environments.

OneView is designed for environments where operators manage large numbers of facilities and assets, often across remote or widely distributed locations, and require centralised visibility of security and operational systems. The system integrates multiple subsystems into a single management layer to deliver system-wide event aggregation, rule-based automation and unified situational awareness.

The platform is structured as an if then business rules integration engine with a lightweight management interface that sits above connected subsystems. It consolidates events from potentially hundreds of thousands of devices, sensors, cameras and help points, enabling operators to detect faults, failures and security threats early and coordinate rapid response across thousands of sites through a single portal.

“I couldn’t be more excited starting this new chapter in my career,” Harris said. “I’m very much looking forward to representing OneView in the market.”
