Kempsey Shire Council Seeks Hybrid Cloud CCTV Solutions For Multiple Sites.
Kempsey Shire Council Seeks Hybrid Cloud CCTV – Kempsey Shire Council has released a multi-section request for quotation seeking end-to-end CCTV network services as part of a program to consolidate video surveillance platforms, standardise equipment and enhance the resilience and cybersecurity of its video surveillance solution.
The RFQ covers 4 distinct service sections. The first seeks transition to a centralised, hybrid-cloud video management system to replace multiple legacy VMS platforms and establish consistent configuration and governance. The second covers supply and installation of CCTV equipment, with an emphasis on standardised camera types and settings.
The third service section addresses preventative and corrective maintenance, including documentation and structured service regimes to restore reliability across the network. The fourth section is optional and relates to monitoring services.
Council’s stated objectives include consolidation of disparate systems, improved cybersecurity through encryption, role-based access control and removal of default credentials, and the restoration of dependable connectivity. The scope explicitly references the need to support mixed backhaul environments, including microwave and 4G/5G links, to address connectivity challenges across the local government area.
According to the tender release, respondents may submit for one, multiple or all sections of the RFQ, allowing specialist providers to participate alongside full-service integrators capable of delivering a complete CCTV lifecycle solution.
Kempsey Shire Council is responsible for local government services across a large regional area on the NSW Mid North Coast, encompassing urban centres, townships and extensive rural assets.
Council operates public buildings, community facilities, maintenance and services facilities, public spaces and transport infrastructure, all of which require secure and reliable CCTV coverage.
