Konec Fire-Rated Zigbee Smart Lock – Konec has released 3 Zigbee-enabled smart locks designed for both commercial and residential applications, offering access control functionality combined with certified fire protection.
The Konec KLI-H15B-YB-AP smart lock is Australian fire-rated to 120 minutes of structural adequacy and 30 minutes of integrity, making it suitable for fire-rated door sets in commercial or mixed-use sites. The unit supports multiple access methods, including PIN, fingerprint, card, and app-based control via Zigbee connectivity.
The lock is built from 6-series aviation-grade aluminium alloy and features IP55 protection on the front panel. It offers storage for up to 300 credentials, including 100 fingerprints, 100 PINs, and 100 cards.
Designed for aluminium or wooden doors with thicknesses between 35mm and 65mm, the KLI-H15B-YB-AP integrates with the Konec Zigbee gateway for remote app-based control. Security functions include an incorrect entry alarm and a low battery warning capable of alerting users for up to 100 door openings before shutdown. The 5000mAh lithium battery provides 6 to 10 months of operation.
The residential model, Konec KLL-T01P-BL-Z-KC, offers a similar feature set in a streamlined form factor with a premium finish. It includes a rechargeable battery, supporting integration into wider home automation scenes using the same Konec gateway. Both units include mechanical key override.
These smart locks support a false accept rate below 0.001 per cent and fingerprint recognition within 0.5 seconds. They operate in temperatures from -25 to +70C and in humidity up to 93 per cent RH non-condensing.
