Milestone Releases XProtect 2025 R1 – Milestone Systems has announced the release of XProtect 2025 R1, introducing expanded cloud integration capabilities and enhanced vehicle identification analytics.
This update extends Milestone’s commitment to providing accessible, robust security solutions across its XProtect video management software (VMS) platform. The latest XProtect release broadens cloud integration through the enhanced Arcules Plugin, now compatible with XProtect Professional+, Expert, and Corporate editions.
Previously limited to XProtect Corporate users, the new standalone version removes the need for interconnect licensing, enabling seamless video and alarm integration from Arcules’ cloud-based video surveillance (VSaaS) into XProtect installations.
XProtect 2025 R1 also enhances vehicle identification through advanced License Plate Recognition (LPR) analytics. The improved system includes capabilities for detailed vehicle classification, accurate colour recognition, precise make/model detection, and vehicle angle analysis. These analytics accelerate investigative processes, enable quick filtering of video footage, and enhance response effectiveness for security teams and law enforcement.
