MSS Security has retained its Origin Energy contract and will continue to provide security services to its gas facilities across 4 sites in the Surat Basin in Queensland.
Origin is a leading Australian integrated energy company supplying electricity to 4.2 million customers, managing the development and production of natural gas throughout Australia and beyond. Origin’s gas operations stretch across vast areas in Queensland and the Northern Territory as well as being responsible for the main transmission pipeline that transports gas to an LNG facility near Gladstone for export.
“Our partnership with Origin has developed over the course of eight years and over that time has allowed our Queensland team to successfully prove its capabilities in supporting Origin’s business growth and expansion,” Nick Samios, executive general manager Qld said.
“A great effort by contract manager, Lisa Blackburn supported by the regional area operations coordinator, Robert Tait who has been part of the contract since commencement. Special praise also for Sky Erbacher and Matthew Francis for their ongoing dedication and always delivering a great service to Origin.”
According to Samios, MSS provides Origin access control, drug and alcohol testing, mobile patrols, visitor inductions, emergency response and response to any protestor activity.
