New ASSA ABLOY HES 9800 Electric Strike – ASSA ABLOY’S HES has released the new 9800 series electric strike, featuring new monitoring capabilities, including latch bolt monitoring and latch bolt and strike monitoring options.
According to HES, the new functions offer the ability to monitor latch, strike and door position, including real-time status notifications like door closed or open; strike locked, and latch correctly fixed.
According to HES, the new security monitoring features allow security teams to receive instant notifications on unauthorized access attempts, as well as product malfunctions.
The HES 9800 is designed for applications with rim exit or tubular vertical rod exit devices including aluminium, hollow metal and wood frames. The HES 9800 is also the only electric strike designed to work with the Adams Rite 8800 Rim Exit Device’s Starwheel bolt, which interlocks door to frame for enhanced strength and to prevent jamb spread.
Constructed in stainless steel, the HES9800 is 12/24V DC powered, has a static strength of 680kg, a dynamic strength of 70 ft-lbs, MTBF of 1 million cycles, field selectable fail safe and fail secure options, horizontal adjustability, an internally-mounted solenoid and a non-handed design.
