A multi-patented lock for surface mounting, fitted with anti-tamper features to provide additional protection. A progressive restraint ensures the bolt is held at all stages of its retraction. When thrown, the bolt captures the keep within a unique catchment bridge, providing further protection from manipulation.

Variants include ‘day-time access control’ providing speedier access with ‘out of hours lockdown’ by the chosen combination lock, or key. The Bourne lock offers emergency escape at all times, meets international fire and life-safety accreditations, automatic re-securement of the bolt upon door closure, is suitable for both inward and outward opening doors and has a concealed locking system with key providing access to combination lock code change.

Optional enhancements include choice of combination lock, or key (both manufacturer & model) to provide various levels of security, daytime access control, key override of access control lock, in case of power failure and monitoring of bolt and deadlock status (standard on daytime access control).
